Me/N build to beat Norn Tournaments
Since I am not very skilled I had to continuously trial and error my way through that blasted norn arena.
So far this build is the easiest way for me to beat the arena.
OQRDAcw3QCVLB7iAVGg1B3g7BA
Fast Casting 12+3
Illusion 12+3+1
Signet of Illusions (E)
Arcane Echo
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Report
Web of Disruption
Shrinking Armor
Enfeeble
Necrosis
Insidious Parasite
Every fight is the same.
SoI, then Arcane Echo.
When the match starts..
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Report, Web of Disruption, Shrinking Armor.
SoI, Ebon Vanguard Assassin Report, Enfeeble, Necrosis.
SoI, Insidious Parasite, Necrosis repeatedly.
It doesn't matter who the enemy is, even Bison.
If you do the build in that order you will win the fights.
Here is a movie I made. It's 30mb though. I could not get it any smaller.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZnBd-_0FW4
Edit: The last few seconds of the movie don't play unless you click back to earlier in the movie and then click again to right near the end. I have no idea why.

Great build. I had something extremely similar (echo level 21 assassins!).

Nerfed. Can't kill Magni - He uses Bear Form at the beginning of the match instead at aggroing. And every other enemy rushes towards player as soon they get hostile. I mean, you can get to 5th round - But can't kill Magni.

Well if he does transform into a bear prematurely, I had a build that worked whether or not he was in bear form.
Template Code: OQRDAasjS6A3gDOgQtAPAoAAVA
Me/N: Die, Bison! Die!
[skill=text]Signet of Midnight[/skill]
Necrosis
[skill=text]Images of Remorse[/skill]
[skill=text]Kitah's Burden[/skill]
[skill=text]Ethereal Burden[/skill]
[skill=text]Mantra of Inscriptions[/skill]
[skill=text]Ether Feast[/skill]
[skill=text]Web of Disruption[/skill]
Now Web of Disruption would be used to interrupt his bear form, but since you say he uses it early, I'd recommend that you swap it out for Spirit of Failure. Images of Remorse is a cheap way to ensure constant degen, because he has natural regen anyway.
Get used to using the two snares, and eventually you'll be able to predict when he'll use purge signet... by then you'll be far enough to go back in with SoM (which is every time it recharges - 20 seconds). It's an awkward combination to master, but once you get the hang of it, bison is harmless. Ether Feast is there just in case he hits through the blind and the Spirit of Failure, which can happen.
Necrosis is going to have to be spammed as often as possible if you want him killed quikly - just make sure that Images of Remorse is on him whenever possible, as the degen and the damage from it helps.
I got my crown using this build,
(Oh actually I just remembered. I also took web of disruption to counter mhenlo... so if you run into him or Alesia without this skill, you wont win.)

I'm kinda glad they changed him.
Although I was so frustrated trying to find a way to beat him, I started looking forward to trying some more to find another build.
Maybe just enfeeble and a blind are needed from the above build. And just worry about using web of disruption on his purge signet.
I'll have to see.

Nice. yeah, I felt ashamed spamming 6 spirits and putting painful bond on the poor guy - kind of a cheap victory :/
I'm glad Redfeather is a mez...

Although I haven't tried the Norn Arena again, I have noticed that the SoI, Arcane Echo, Ebon Assassin combo is really insane when you add Asuran Scan in their too.
Putting in Shrinking armour and a shatter is really fun. Boss monsters go 'wtf is happening to me?!'.

I used this to defeat him:
OQBDAYwjSfADOrALAQB2A2k7iA
Conjure Phantasm
Images of Remorse
Clumsiness
Distortion
Energy Tap
Crippling Anguish
"You Move Like a Dwarf!"
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
16 Illusion
9 FC
11 Inspiration
"You Move Like a Dwarf!" is a great skill, doubling as an interrupt and snare. Even if you miss Purge Signet, by the time the cripple wears off, CA will be recharged. Energy Tap was needed to keep energy up, but the rest of the bar should work with whatever you prefer to use for damage.
In general PvE, I've been using Assassin's Promise to spam Assassin Support and "Finish Him!" but I'll certainly give SoI a look once I grab Air of Superiority .

Daaaamn. I gotta use some of these norn and dwarf skills.
They are starting to sound better than I thought they'd be.

Empathy
Sig of Midnight
Ignorance
Spirit of Failure
Ether Feast
is all you need to beat Bison. For the other fights, it helps to bring Backfire, Cry of Pain.

I ran a bar without PvE skills successfully 6 times:
12 illu, 9 fc, 9 insp
Clumsiness
Web of Disruption
Conjure Nightmare
Phantom Pain
Crippling Anguish*
Drain Delusions
Auspicious Incantation
Ether Feast
Didn't run into Danika once, so I think I got lucky. Alesia's an exercise in timing. Eve and Gwen are fun battles, Argo will spam himself out of energy with stone daggers, at which point the degen will catch up to him and Clumsiness kills his wanding.
